Alterations, alterations
We are starting the New Year with a brand new idea – Soizic Quentin de Coupigny, as keen supporters will know, has been running a sewing group at NDRC for some time with Eleanore Mensah. It has - over the past few months - fallen slightly into abeyance as both Soizic and Eleanore have been busy.
However – now it is starting again and will, besides basic tuition in machine and sewing techniques, offer an alteration service.
So – please do bring in any clothes that need mending – trousers that need taking up – hems that need tacking - buttons to be sewn on (yes! There is a ‘right’ way of sewing on a button).
Soizic and Eleanore will work on the repairs with our visitors to develop skills.
We will ask for a small donation for jobs done.
So – instead of taking things to your local dry cleaner (which will be expensive and not as good) – just bring them round to the NDRC office. We will log them and pass them on to the team.
